How Long?

The SEM program has been designed to keep costs low and, especially, to conserve everybody’s time.

The workshops are held over 3-day weekends to minimize disruption of work and to provide savings in air fares.

How Big?

Each SEM group is limited to sixteen participants, plus two apprentices from previous SEM groups.

Where?

The SEM group meets in the historic and colorful city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, actually in the nearby historic town of Corrales.

When?

The weekends are held about two months apart, to allow for homework assignments apply the learnings back home.
For 1999, the four weekends were:

February 19-21, Albuquerque, NM

April 16-18, Albuquerque, NM

June 4-6, Albuquerque, NM

August 20-22, Albuquerque, NM

How Much?

Tuition is $3,500 for a period of one year, which includes twelve workshop days, on-line communication, feedback, homework, reasonable phone consulting activities, and other SEM activities that may arise.

A choice of economical accommodations is always available.

After the entry year, each member becomes part of the permanent System Effectiveness Management Group.

There are no more tuition fees, and the group designs its own ongoing programs.

How to join an SEM group:

To begin the process of becoming a member of the next System Effectiveness Management Group, contact Jerry Weinberg as soon as possible.

Through one or more contacts, we will mutually determine if there is a sufficient fit for you to become a member of this group.

If so, your job is to get your organization’s approval, plus a purchase order for one-year’s tuition to be paid by January.

Also, if you have not yet attended PSL and the Change Shop, you need to register to take those before your group starts.
